Ayurveda - Knowledge of Life

In Sanskrit language, the oldest language known to man, the word “Ayu” means life and “Veda” means to know about. “Ayurveda” means “Knowledge of life”. This is the oldest system of healing originated in India over five thousand years ago, transmitted from rishis, or the seers of truth.

INYE is excited to introduce this potent sister science of Yoga to our community!

Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultations

Offering authentic Ayurvedic consultations and treatments to support your journey of self healing to remind you that sacred rivers within this mind/body/soul can flow into their natural state of balance. It is possible to be free of pain, suffering and delusion and to remember that we are ultimately freedom, space and love.

Your journey to better health begins with an understanding of what your predominant dosha or doshas are, and their imbalances called “Vikruti” These doashas are: Vata Pitta & Kapha, the elements of wind, fire & earth.  An initial consultation will determine which of these doshas are out of balance. This involves observation of your pulse, tongue, skin, body type and mind/ emotions to determine what is the best program for your individual constitution. In turn, this can help you get more clarity to put you in touch with your physical, mental and emotional states so you can work with them according to correct Ayurvedic lifestyle. This includes following specific lifestyle changes, including correct diet, herbs, home remedies, and specific yoga postures tailored to your unique and divine self.

Rules of the mind

Every thought or idea causes a physical reaction. We have all heard anger prompt heart attacks, stress causes high blood pressure and flaky skin. An emotional induced symptom tends to cause organic change if persisted in long enough.

Imagination is more powerful than knowledge when dealing with your own mind. Whether the event is "real" or not, when the mind believes it is real, even though it is beyond logic or common sense, it creates a reality within. Once an idea that has been accepted by the subconscious mind, it remains until it is replaced by another.

Each Suggestion acted upon creates less opposition to successive suggestion. Once a suggestion has been accepted by the subconscious mind, the next suggestion of similar nature will be easier to be accepted, while the first suggestion compounds on its effectiveness.

The greater the conscious effort, the less the subconscious response. The slogan is "Do more nothing than you had ever done before!". Unlike the traditional talk therapy, hypnotherapy by-pass the conscious and logical mind, and resolve trauma caused by the Initial Sensitizing Event (ISE). Once the ISE is removed, like an up-side-down pyramid, all manifested symptoms will crumble and disintegrate.

"Eddee has a friendly, trusting and respectful attitude that made the whole process delightful. Even before my session he was attentive and took the time to explain what I was about to go through in as much detail as I would require, leaving it entirely to me the decision of continuing with the treatment or not. Throughout the treatment I received from Eddee all the positive reinforcement to work out issues that were deep within my experience. At the same time, despite examining such personal subjects, I gladly felt I was in a safe environment and free to talk about it as I would with a long time friend. I'm thankful for trying hypnotherapy and I can't think of a better guide than Eddee in this venture and I would promptly recommend him."

Four critical mental attitudes

Our physical body is a powerful "drug store" that’s highly suggestible. The world is filled with suggestions of all kinds, some good, some not so much. Hypnotherapy's ultimate reach is to “de-hypnotize” you, so you may express the full capability of human potential. When an individual is in hypnosis and hears a suggestion, the person must take one of the four mental attitudes about that suggestion. Which mental attitude the person takes will determine whether the suggestion is accepted or rejected.

Mental Attitude #1:

"I like the suggestion, I know it is going to work for me.”

Mental Attitude #2:

"I am uncomfortable with the suggestion, It just doesn’t fit me.”

Mental Attitude #3:

"I feel neutral about the suggestion. I don’t care if I get it or don’t get it.”

Mental Attitude #4:

"I like the suggestion, I hope it will work / I will try to make it work."

The only mental attitude that will cause the suggestion to be accepted is #1. It opens up the subconscious mind and the gateway of critical factor, so the new programming can replace the old one, which no longer works. I will also repeat it often before and during the session.

Hypnosis Induction techniques

There are as many types of hypnosis induction methods as the stars. Generally they can be sorted into these major categories:

  • Dave Elman Induction Method - an effective and systematic Induction technique developed by Dave Elman.

  • Progressive Relaxation Induction

  • Written Words Induction

  • Rapid Induction

  • Motor Induction

Each hypnosis induction work with different levels of personality, to reach a working state called "Somnambulism". Utilize simple & imaginative words, we assist the clients to see life with clarity, and invoke changes within the subconscious mind.

HypnoYoga practice

Learn more about this unique combination of Hypnotherapy and Yoga, and how you can prepare it.

"In the beginning of 2020 I was forced to retire due to the fact that the company I was working  for closed its offices in Canada. I was struggling to accept my sudden change from actively working full time to retired and in need of professional help.

The first person that came to my mind was  Eddee, the Owner/Director of the Inye Yoga Studio that I have been a student member of for a number of years. I really enjoy his yoga classes and feel comfortable asking him for help regarding yoga practice. Eddee is also a certified Hypnotherapist and offers Hypnotherapy sessions at the studio, so I immediately booked a session with him to see if he could help me in the situation I was in.

In my first session, Eddee was able to give me the confidence and trust I needed to open up and tell him how I felt. During the session with Eddee's guidance I was able to let some deep wounds come to the surface and he also provided guidance on how I could deal with those wounds and let go of the hurt. I am so grateful for his guidance and compassion.

Due to COVID I was only able to book a second session this year. During the  session, Eddee was amazingly able to guide me in addressing my feeling of abandonment I have felt since I was young and also the feeling of rejection I have felt for a long time due to a not so good relationship.

Eddee's way of talking and explaining made my experience with Hypnotherapy very positive and beneficial. I am so grateful for all the help you provide in any subject we need, be it yoga poses, Reiki, meditation and so on."
