About Kalaripayattu
Join Pramod for 3 energizing Saturday (2pm - 3:30pm) sessions of “Kalaripayattu” — one of the oldest martial arts in the world, originating from South India. Each class begins with traditional salutations, followed by dynamic warm-ups including leg swings, arm movements, punches, cuts, and powerful body postures to awaken strength and coordination.
Join all 3 sessions (recommended) for $120+hst, or single session for $45+hst
By attending this 1.5 hour workshop:
Meypayattu – Explore animal-inspired forms such as the elephant, horse, crane, and lion. These postures cultivate balance, flexibility, and flow through seamless transitions.
Chuvadu – Master the foundational footwork patterns that train agility, rhythm, and control. These sequences form the building blocks for both unarmed and weapon-based techniques.
Thada – Learn striking and defensive techniques using hands, legs, and body alignment. These partner-based drills enhance reflexes, precision, and martial awareness.
Whether you’re new to martial arts or deepening your practice, this immersive introduction offers a rare opportunity to embody the discipline, artistry, and philosophy of Kalaripayattu.
