About the AyurYoga Full Body Self Care Workshop
As the vibrant energy of summer gently gives way to the cooler, quieter days of autumn, our bodies and minds naturally begin to change. The dry air, cooler temperatures, and busier routines of the season can leave us feeling stiff, depleted, restless, or disconnected.
According to Ayurveda, autumn is governed by Vata, the element of air and space. When Vata becomes imbalanced, we may experience dry joints and skin, irregular digestion, difficulty sleeping, anxious thoughts, or a sense of being scattered. Fortunately, simple seasonal practices can help us restore warmth, moisture, steadiness, and ease.
Join us for a nourishing afternoon of AyurYoga, where you'll experience practical self-care rituals designed to support your well-being throughout the autumn months.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience. Whether you are new to Ayurveda or already familiar with its principles, you will leave with practical tools that can easily become part of your daily life.
As nature slows down, we are invited to do the same. Come spend an afternoon caring for yourself with intention, learning timeless practices that will help you move into autumn feeling grounded, nourished, and deeply restored.
Please wear light, comfortable dark colour clothing (tank top & shorts recommended) to support oil application.
Together we will explore:
✔︎ Gentle Ayurvedic oiling practices for the nose, ears, and joints
✔︎ Lubricating joint movements inspired by traditional yoga and mindful circular movement
✔︎ A grounding Hatha Yoga practice to cultivate stability and balance
✔︎ Restorative Yoga to calm the nervous system and invite deep rest
✔︎ Gentle pranayama and guided relaxation
✔︎ Ayurvedic Tea Ceremony – a warming cup of Ayurvedic tea for inner nourishment and reflection
Please bring the following item to the practice:
● Yoga Mat
● 2 Yoga Blocks
● Bolster
● 1 Body Towel & 1 Hand Towel
● Personal Cup (for tea)
Most props will also be available in studio to share.
If you have any questions regarding the workshop, please contact us by email or call the studio at (905) 829-3443
