Does being 'Fit' = Health?

Would you like to be fit? Certainly, many people make that their goal. But perhaps there is a misunderstanding of what true “fitness” really means.
Ask yourself this question: what is fitness?
Perhaps a mental image appears — a ripped body, bulging muscles, smooth tanned skin. But this is only a very limited interpretation of health.
Yes, I used the word “health,” because being “fit” should ultimately mean being healthy. Yet many modern trends that focus purely on appearance — body hacking, extreme dieting, and obsessive optimization — often move us further away from genuine wellbeing. Deep inside, many of us already know the potential cost of these habits, yet the desire to look a certain way can easily override that wisdom.
In Yoga and Ayurveda, fitness is understood very differently:
1. Unusable residue should be eliminated efficiently
2. Useful essence should be absorbed and transformed

The elimination of toxins — or ama in Ayurveda — is considered essential for maintaining health and vitality. The body is constantly seeking balance, cleansing, and renewal.
Hatha Yoga, in its very essence, is a practice of purification and balance. It helps harmonize the elements within ourselves — physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically. As awareness deepens in all aspects of life, we naturally begin moving toward greater health and wholeness.
Some might say:
“I feel perfectly healthy, even though I eat junk food, stay up very late, and regularly consume alcohol, sugar, and caffeine. They don’t seem to affect me — so why should I practice Yoga?”
It is not only a matter of why, but also when.
The body can only sustain neglect for so long. Every unhealthy habit slowly draws from the reservoir of vitality we were born with. Once that reservoir becomes depleted, rebuilding health often takes far more effort than maintaining it in the first place.
This reflects one of the primary principles of Ayurveda:
To protect, maintain, and preserve the health of the healthy (preventive care)

Only then comes the second principle:
- To reduce, pacify, or heal disease in the unwell (curative care)
Yoga is so much more than stretching or folding into difficult shapes. It is a complete system of balance, awareness, and inner alignment.
To practice Yoga in a safe and sacred space can be deeply nourishing and healing — especially within a dedicated and loving community such as INYE.
Here, you will find like-minded friends and knowledgeable teachers who can support and guide you along the path of health, peace, and joy.

A Simple Daily Practice to Know You Are on the Right Path.
● Send gratitude to your heart, every time you awake in the morning, that you are ALIVE, and a new possibility is once again available.
● Before bedtime, check in and see if you were happier and more peaceful today compared to yesterday.
● Write down things that disrupted your peaceful state, and how can you improve when you encounter it again next.

Field of Asphodel
After twelve years in the making, Field of Asphodel — Eddee’s debut fantasy novel — is now available on Amazon and at INYE in paperback and Kindle formats, alongside its original soundtrack on all major streaming platforms.
The world fell into rage, fear, and greed when the Goddess Asphodel—keeper of Creation and Wisdom—vanished from existence.
Only a chosen few remembered her. And in that fragile memory, a vow was made: To find the last two forgotten votaries—
Carrial, the Priestess of Light, and Kons, the Dark Priest of Dreams.
Bound not by prophecy, but by an eternal vow, they journey through the seams of reality—drawn across lifetimes toward a past they do not fully remember… to restore the grace of the fallen goddess before the world forgets her completely.
Yet the dark will of Orphan the Hidden endures across time.
Beneath thunderous skies, whisperers, scholars, and warriors rise against a force that erases the past and unravels the future.
And in the quiet between—within dreams, along a moonlit shore, even at the threshold of death—mercy and courage are relearned, one fragile act at a time.
Their journey through fractured kingdoms and dreamscapes of lost souls becomes more than a quest—it is a reckoning with memory, sacrifice, and the cost of returning.
Field of Asphodel is a myth of rebirth: to conscience, to kinship, to the centre that cannot be conquered.
When Light and Dark choose to keep watch together, even the broken road becomes a path home.
Can they restore the lost grace of Asphodel?
