34 hour pre & post natal yoga teacher training
This training is ideal for yoga teachers and professionals such as doulas, midwives and registered nurses who are interested in supporting women through pregnancy and a confident post natal transition through Yoga practice. This course will delve into all trimesters of pregnancy, including the 4th trimester. Students will explore a full spectrum of pre and post natal yoga postures and sequences that safely support a healthy mom and baby.
COURSE CURRICULUM
+ PART 1: ESSENTIAL YOGA FOR PRE NATAL MOTHERS

Changing physiology during pregnancy. -
The benefits of yoga during pregnancy. -
Diastasis and the linea alba. -
Modifications and alignment of poses with the incorporation of props. -
Common discomforts and yoga poses which will aid with this. -
Breathing techniques (Pranayama) and meditation. -
Supportive and restorative poses. -
Structuring and sequencing a prenatal yoga class.
+ PART 2: ESSENTIAL FOR POST NATAL YOGA & SUPPORTING MOTHERS

Postpartum issues. -
Key postpartum yoga poses. -
Modification of poses with props. -
Diastasis and the linea alba. -
Breath and the pelvic floor. -
Structuring and sequencing a postnatal yoga class.
+ PART 3: YOGA FOR FERTILITY

The Teacher Training group meets for two weekend immersions at Inye Yoga.

ACCREDITATION:
Upon completion students will receive a certificate which can be applied towards Continuing Education Hours (CEH) through Yoga Alliance.
PROGRAM PREREQUISITE:
Program Prerequisite: Those who have completed a 200hour Yoga Teacher Training, as well as doulas, midwives and health professionals with an established Yoga practice and working knowledge of the principles of yogic alignment.
